Women’s Health and Equal Rights Association Rwanda

Women’s Health and Equal Right Association Rwanda is an emerging women's human rights group that provides information and services to women experiencing women's human rights violation and promoting reproductive health and rights to ensure that all women have the resources, rights and respect to make reproductive health decisions that are best for themselves, their families and for their development.

Our aims are to promote women’s rights towards sexual and reproductive health and empower women and girls in Rwanda, mainly those living where we are based in Gisagara district of Southern Province of Rwanda to become a self-confident to make their healthy choices.

For us, relationships are effortless; we are joining our efforts to better serve our unique society with regards to survival, protection, and development of women and girls.
Teamwork
We are familiar with working with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams from local, national and international organizations and we are experienced in working interactively with new ideas and people to ease the task
Accountability
We take seriously our personal responsibilities for using our resources adequately and efficiently achieving measurable results and being accountable to our donors, People of Concern, and partners.
Collaboration
We are respecting each other and work with stakeholders to meet our goals and objectives in making a difference for women and girls particularly those underserved and poor.
Creativity
We are motivated to bring new ideas in our advocacy campaigns for youth, women and girls and we take disciplined risks to develop sustainable solutions for and with women.
  • Our Sports programmes serve as an Effective tool for Social Mobilization, Supporting our Health Activities including but not limited to HIV/AIDS Education, Family Planning Education, Rights-Based Maternal Health and Other components of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights.
  • Dram Showings, Modern Dance, Traditional Dance and Poetry, Media or Mass Media Campaign (Radio, TV Talks), Parental Involvement with Gender Transformative Approach, Football Tournaments, Key Influences Engagement (Community Leaders, Religious Leaders, Traditional Leaders, Government Officials, Parents,...)
